As a Pricing Test Analyst, you will play a key role in defining, maintaining and continuously improving pricing algorithm testing standards, workflows and processes to support effective deployment into our external rating engine. This will include hands-on delivery of testing activity, alongside oversight and assurance of team outputs to ensure consistency, accuracy and adherence to best practice. You will utilise your technical testing expertise, including experience with APIs and automated testing approaches, to support high-quality, efficient deployments to production systems. You will also review the work of junior team members, providing guidance, mentoring and constructive challenge to help develop capability across the team and ensure work is delivered to agreed standards and timelines. Working closely with Pricing, Underwriting and IT colleagues, you will represent testing practices across pricing changes and wider projects, influencing decision-making and challenging approaches where appropriate to protect quality and reduce production risk. You will contribute to maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and may occasionally deputise for senior colleagues in meetings or forums. You will stay up to date with industry trends, tools and technologies, using your insight to identify opportunities for improvement and help evolve the team’s testing capability over time. Essential Proven experience in a testing role, with exposure to automated testing approaches Prior experience using APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) as part of testing activity Experience reviewing work and mentoring or supporting the development of others Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge thinking and influence outcomes Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly A self-motivated approach, with the ability to work effectively on your own initiative and manage competing priorities Demonstrated resilience and adaptability in a change-driven environment Desirable Experience within the insurance or pricing industry Familiarity with Radar or a similar procedural programming language Coding experience gained within a professional environment Experience delivering or supporting change within a business context ISTQB Foundation (or equivalent testing qualification) At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique.
