Service Technician

Initally based from a head office in the north west Service Technicians attend sites across the UK and Europe. You will join our client in their Manchester office for inital training and introduction to the company and their systems and processes. Once completed, the successful candidate will work on mechanical piping systems and will be responsible for servicing alarm valves, diesel and electric driven fire pumps. The pay scale in place for this position provides a basic salary of upto @ £45,000 and additionally includes payment for travel to and from work in a Company Vehicle.
You will be working as part of a team reporting into the Service Manager working a 38 hour week - Monday to Friday.
Your role will involve the maintenance and inspection of pump units and alarm valve arrangements onsite. Fault finding and installation of control wiring systems and panels. Stripping and overhauling of pumps and alarm valves. Fault finding and installation of pumps, engines, and motors.
Once works are completed you will filli out a report for each visit to site on an iPad. and compilie detailed work orders for items requiring repair onsite.
