This opportunity sits within a high-performing, UK-wide team advising some of the most significant corporate groups across energy, infrastructure and natural resources. Think large, international businesses navigating transformation, investment and regulatory change—not routine compliance factories.
What you’ll be doing
* You’ll operate as a key point of contact for major corporate clients, blending compliance oversight with meaningful advisory work
* Own and manage a portfolio of large corporate clients as day-to-day tax lead
* Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic tax advice and identify opportunities
* Lead on advisory projects including restructurings, financing (debt/equity), Pillar 2, CIR and international tax matters
* Support transactions work including tax due diligence and structuring on M&A deals
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless, high-quality client experience
* Develop and mentor junior team members while building your internal network
* This is not a "review and sign-off" role—you’ll be expected to think commercially, challenge clients, and add real value.
What they’re looking for
* CA / ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified (or equivalent)
* Strong Corporate Tax experience with large corporate clients (practice or in-house)
* Ability to handle both compliance and advisory work confidently
* Commercial mindset with the ability to communicate complex issues simply
* Leadership potential—someone who can step up, not just sit in the background
No prior energy sector experience required. If you understand large corporates, you’ll be brought up the curve quickly.
