Business Development Manager
Sun IP provides industry-leading patent translation, foreign filing, and annuity solutions that help empower intellectual property professionals to seamlessly protect innovation around the globe.
As a Business Development Manager, you would be joining a diverse team of IP and business professionals with the goals of expanding SunIP’s market presence and providing exceptional sales and customer relationship services to our sophisticated and global clientele. This is a full sales cycle position, focusing on both new business development and client retention. This role requires prior experience selling patent related services (this can include patent filing services, annuities, translations services, IP technology services, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
* Understand customer needs and requirements and educate prospective and existing clients regarding the company’s services.
* Deliver presentations, participate in web demos, and attend elite conferences in order to articulate SunIP’s value proposition.
* Close sales and achieve sales targets.
* Maintain a database of current and potential customers.
* Manage and nurture quality business relationships and client accounts.
* Recognize and take advantage of upselling and cross-selling opportunities with existing clients.
Required Experience/Knowledge:
* At least one (1) year of experience working on a sales/business development team selling patent filing, patent annuities, patent translations services, patent case management platforms, or patent technology-related services.
* At least two (2) years of business-to-business sales experience with a focus on new business development.
