Overall purpose: As CBRE Building Manager you are client focused and responsible for the effective operational management of the Bank of America Financial Centre. This role ensures our clients’ workplace is a great place to work with high‑quality service delivery across all technical and soft services, maintaining statutory compliance, management and mitigation of risk/impact to client operation, efficient building performance, excellent client satisfaction and customer experience.
Reporting to: Senior Facilities Manager
Reporting Employees: The Building Manager leads a multi-disciplinary team, including Facilities Coordinators & Engineers.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities and tasks of the Building Manager are:

* Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
* Responsible for effective operational management, maintenance service deliveries, ensuring workplace environment is safe, compliant, efficient and aligns with the banks’ global operating standards.
* Maintain exceptional client relationships with key stakeholders and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
* Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, and legal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
* Promote and ensure safe working environment for contractors and occupiers.
* Lead sustainability initiatives for all service lines.
* Provide formal supervision for employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
* Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees reporting to the Building Manger.
* Oversee environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
* Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
* Acts as primary point of contact for building operations, vendor performance, incident escalation and ensuring that critical business operations are 100% uptime and always remain supported.
* Working alongside Critical Engineering Manager overseeing third party supplier contract tenders and renewal.
* Ensure all services issues are resolved within SLA and tracking KPI performance.
* Opex budget management/reporting, WIP management and monthly forecast reporting.
* Manage and authorise extra works, variations, and overtime labour requests, ensuring all activities are properly scoped, costed, approved, and delivered in line with CBRE financial procedures and client governance requirements.
Skills & Qualifications
* 5 + years’ experience in corporate facilities & critical engineering management, ideally in financial services, data centres or other regulated environments.
* Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND, C&G, NVQ L3+, or degree level).
* Leadership skills to motivate team focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department.
* In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
* Experience and knowledge of CAFM systems such as Corrigo.
* Demonstrate formal leadership training such as ILM 5.
* Extensive organisational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. IOSH / NEBOSH certification.
* Possess knowledge of Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, Critical Infrastructure, HV/LV Systems, Building Fabrications & Soft Facilities management services.
