As an Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the clinical care plans and welfare of our residents and ensure that the care, health and social needs are met in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence. You will be required to liaise and maintain effective relationships with external authorities, relatives of service users and the general public. You will ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including the security of the home and to ensure the physical environment is maintained to the highest standards. Key Accountabilities Ensure that all medication is received, recorded, stored, administered and disposed of in accordance with Schoen Clinic policy and NMC guidelines. Carry out nursing procedures as necessary; which may include prescribed dressings and other aspects of wound management, venepuncture and catheter care. Provide and assist our residents in all aspects of individual personal care needs alongside the care assistants Support the residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities as and when required. We are currently based on the ground floor of Minster Grange as an eating disorder hospital, and in September 2024 will be expanding to cover the full building with other service lines including Dementia care. We are situated just off Haxby Road which is 10 minutes’ drive from York Train Station and 4 miles from the A64.
