We’re looking for a Stores Assistant to join our aviation maintenance team and help keep everything stocked, organised, and operating at its best.
In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day running of Hangar Stores, ensuring the accurate and compliant receipt, inspection and storage of aircraft components, materials, and tooling. You’ll play a key part in maintaining a safe, tidy, and efficient stores environment, helping our engineers access what they need, when they need it.
What you’ll be doing:
Goods-In & Stock Control
• Inspect incoming goods to ensure correct condition, documentation, and compliance
• Monitor stock levels and shelf life, escalating where needed
• Ensure materials are stored correctly in line with OEM, UK CAA and EASA requirements
• Use the maintenance system for accurate tracking and record keeping
Stores Operations & Tooling
• Support the Lead Store Person to review and improve processes
• Assist Tooling Specialists with tooling checks and inventory management
• Prepare aircraft parts for upcoming maintenance inputs
• Keep the stores area clean, safe, and well organised
Compliance & Safety
• Follow Dangerous Goods Awareness practices
• Adhere to material handling and storage procedures
• Maintain high health & safety standards
• Contribute to a positive safety culture by reporting hazards and supporting continuous improvement
General Duties
• Support day-to-day running of Hangar 2 stores
• Carry out additional tasks as required by the Stores & Tooling Supervisor
What we’re looking for:
• Great attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Clear and confident communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners
Desirable experience:
• Previous stores or warehouse experience
• Knowledge of HF, EWIS and FTS
• Understanding of Part-145 and Part-M/CAMO requirements
• Aviation experience (advantageous but not essential)
