Electrician - Responsive Repairs Stevenage
Salary: £41,229 + Excellent Benefits; total package £44k - £47.5k plus van and fuel card
Hours: 39 per week, Monday to Thursday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, Fridays from 8:00am to 3:30pm
The Opportunity:
We're seeking a skilled, customer-focused Electrician to join a responsive repairs team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical repairs, installations, and testing services across residential properties, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance in domestic and commercial settings.
* Conduct fixed wire testing and ensure compliance with current regulations.
* Complete certifications and documentation accurately.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications effectively.
* Provide excellent customer service while meeting performance targets.
What You'll Bring:
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Qualified Electrician with experience in domestic and commercial environments.
* Strong understanding of electrical systems up to 230v/415v.
* Ability to certify work in line with industry standards.
* Knowledge of health and safety practices and physical capability for manual tasks.
* Proven customer-focused approach.
Required Qualifications:
* City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
* 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
* Full UK driving license.
* Over 2 years' experience conducting EICRs.
* City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent.
Please note: A basic DBS check is required, which will be arranged and paid for by the employer.
