About the role
We’re seeking proactive problem solvers eager to work across our entire tech stack. Responsibilities
* Become the Subject Matter Expect for your area.
* Making tough technical decisions putting in balance velocity, serviceability, sustainability.
* Setting and holding a high bar of software engineering practices – design, coding, test.
* Being a mentor to members across the software engineering organisation.
* Participate in the team’s on-call rotation.
* Collaborate with product, design, operations, and learning teams to understand requirements and articulate technical decisions and outcomes.
Requirements
* 8+ years experience in backend development using Java/Spring Boot or equivalent.
* Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (Kubernetes).
* Deep understanding of system software, specially distributed systems.
* Experience designing and delivering complex systems into production, and supporting them post-production.
* Empowering and mentoring is important to you and you love teaching your skills and approach to others.
