Graduate Town Planner - Sidcup - Up to £28,000 + Benefits (Permanent, Full-Time)
Are you an ambitious Graduate Town Planner looking to take your first step into the world of planning and development? We're working with a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Sidcup, who are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join their growing Planning team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent RTPI-accredited graduate to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of planning projects, working closely with experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
As a Graduate Town Planner, you'll play a key role in assisting with:
* Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
* Undertaking site appraisals, research, and policy analysis
* Supporting senior planners with client meetings and project delivery
* Liaising with local authorities, stakeholders, and design teams
* Contributing to planning statements, design and access statements, and development proposals
You'll be encouraged to develop your professional skills, work toward chartered RTPI status, and gain exposure to a variety of sectors, including residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:
* A degree or master's in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited preferred)
* A genuine interest in the planning and development process
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail and research ability
* A proactive, positive, and collaborative approach
* Previous placement or internship experience within a planning or consultancy environment will be advantageous but not essential.
