As we scale, we’re looking for an Engineering Director to lead our Engineering function into its next chapter — strengthening structure, standards, and leadership to consistently deliver quality at scale. The Role We’re looking for a thoughtful, strategic leader to take ownership of our Engineering function and help us scale without losing what makes our work — and our team — special. You’ll bring a deep understanding of delivery-focused engineering in an agency setting, and know how to lead a growing team with clarity, confidence, and care. You’ll report to the Managing Director and oversee both the Head of Technology and an incoming Engineering Manager. Your focus will be ensuring Engineering consistently delivers high-quality work — across multiple projects, clients, and platforms — while strengthening engineering leadership at every level. A key part of this will be developing our senior engineers and Tech Steers to act as multipliers of performance, quality, and culture. Define and communicate a clear strategy for how the Engineering function scales — including team structure, technical leadership, and collaboration with other departments.
Develop a scalable model for line management, performance, and growth. Own engineering delivery : Ensure the department is consistently equipped to deliver high-quality work — across multiple projects and teams — with the right standards, processes, and resourcing in place. Stay close to the team’s day-to-day reality — from onboarding new joiners to understanding how each project is running — and support engineers at all levels to do their best work.
Partner with Technology : Work closely with our Head of Technology to embed architectural decisions, innovation, and R&D into everyday engineering practice.
Support commercial planning : Lead Engineering’s input into pitches, estimates, and pre-sales discussions. But here’s what we think will help you thrive:
10+ years in engineering, including hands-on work and team leadership
~ Comfortable setting standards and building scalable structures for team performance, development, and high-quality delivery
~ Considerable experience leading Engineering across projects involving web-based CTV, OTT platforms, or video-focused front-end applications
~(Ideal) Experience leading teams and contributing to the building of OTT infrastructure
~(Ideal) Experience leading teams and contributing to the building of mobile platforms and native development technologies, such as Swift and Kotlin
