Job Description
To contribute to the provision of effective and efficient Legal Services to the Council, its Officers and Committees.
The principal areas of work include providing procurement advice, drafting complex services contracts, grant agreements, construction contracts and ICT contracts and providing advice on subsidy control and data protection matters. While this post is offered as a full‑time position the Council may consider candidates who would prefer a part time position provided this is no less than 4 days per week.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post requires a Disclosure Scotland Check and where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more abroad with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre‑employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
