Maintenance Manager – Chapel Fields Holiday ParkRole Overview
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and delivering all maintenance and operational standards at Chapel Fields Holiday Park.
This is not simply a maintenance role. It is a senior, hands-on leadership position within a busy, customer-facing holiday park environment.
We are looking for someone who wants to take pride in running a park as if it were their own — someone invested in standards, presentation, customer experience and long-term improvement — while being part of a supportive, established family business.
The successful candidate will take ownership of the day-to-day operation of the park's maintenance and grounds function, ensuring Chapel Fields operates efficiently, professionally and to a consistently high standard throughout the season.
Core Responsibilities1. Park Leadership & Team Management
* Lead, organise and manage the maintenance team on a daily basis.
* Set clear expectations and maintain high performance standards.
* Plan and delegate daily, weekly and seasonal workloads.
* Ensure strong weekend coverage during peak trading periods.
* Create a culture of accountability, pride and teamwork.
* Train, support and develop team members.
* Make confident operational decisions without constant supervision.
This role requires someone who is comfortable running a department independently and taking real responsibility for the park's presentation and performance.
1. Holiday Park Operations
2. Ensure the park is maintained to a high standard at all times during the season.
3. Oversee the condition of pitches, grounds, roads, drainage, lighting, signage and communal areas.
4. Maintain high visual standards — grass, hedges, cleanliness and overall presentation.
5. Ensure rental units and facilities are operational and well maintained.
6. React quickly and professionally to issues raised by office staff, holiday home owners or guests.
7. Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the park during busy tourist periods.
8. Ownership & Standards
9. Take pride in the park's appearance and reputation.
10. Proactively identify improvements and long-term maintenance needs.
11. Plan winter works and off-season upgrades.
12. Treat the park's assets responsibly and cost-effectively.
13. Work closely with the Company Director to improve and develop the park year on year.
We are looking for someone who feels invested in the success of the park — not someone who simply completes tasks.
