Salary: Grade 8, £31,586 - £34,314 FTE per annum(Actual Salary based on weeks worked and hours: £25,699.66 - £27,919.27 p.a.)
Contract: Fixed Term until 31/08/2026, pending a review of the staffingstructure requirements
Hours: 35 hours per week (8:30am –4.00pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minutes unpaid lunchbreak) term time only to include INSET days (39 weeks)

The Role:
The successful candidate will:
Work within a team to run an effective, enhanced provision for preverbal autistic children
Cover classes across the school as directed by the Senior Leadership tea
The ideal candidate will:
• Be enthusiastic, patient and committed to making a positive impact on the lives of young SEND learners
• Have a flexible, proactive approach to supporting both individual and group learning needs
• Have experience of working effectively with preverbal, autistic children, understanding their specific developmental and communication challenges.
• Be a team player who is passionate about working in a supportive and collaborative school environment.
• Be confident in managing challenging behaviours and supporting children’s emotional regulation
• Positive handling / Team Teach training would be an advantage as the role may require you to use these skills.
• Be confident in following lesson plans to deliver effective lessons
• Be familiar with interventions and strategies that support SEND learners – and be willing to build on this knowledge

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
