Your new role

We’re investing in this senior role in our new homes team to make sure we deliver on one of our core ambitions: to help tackle the housing crisis across the South of England. We are one of largest housing associations in the South of England with over 50,000 homes across a geography which stretches from Somerset to London. Abri is a Strategic Partner of Homes England and our target is to build at least 1,000 new homes per year for the next 5 years and beyond, finding new ways to do more where we can.
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, you'll lead on the delivery of our growing new homes programme, overseeing the full range of development functions from land acquisition, grants, planning, contracts and construction, all the way to the after-care service, embedding our values and behaviours across the directorate and providing exceptional leadership to high-performing teams.
First class interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills are essential as you'll regularly liaise with key internal and external players including senior leaders, Homes England, developers and local authorities, leading some of these key relationships to influence and negotiate on behalf of Abri.
With your extensive knowledge of the social housing sector combined with commercial acumen, you'll ensure our delivery strategies are not only budgeted for and fit for purpose, but also guarantee Abri remains a significant player with an outstanding reputation for the delivery of new, environmentally friendly homes for many years to come. Developments can be complex and our operating environment is constantly changing. You’ll being a flexible, innovative approach to find new routes to securing and safely delivering the new homes our customers need.

You could be based out of our Bracknell (RH12 1RF), Eastleigh (SO50 6AD), London (W10 5BN) or Yeovil (BA22 8WN) offices but you’ll be expected to travel to our Eastleigh Head Office 2-3 days a week.
