Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Bioresources
Circa £45k depending on experience (including 15% shift allowance) + overtime available
Full-time, 40.25 hours per week, across a 7-day working pattern

Reporting to the Bioresources Operations Manager, you will be part of a maintenance team responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and preventing faults, as well as completing planned and condition-based maintenance. Your role supports operational teams to ensure the safe operation of Bioresources and Water Recycling assets, contributing to wastewater treatment, renewable energy production, and bioresource quality—supporting Circular Economy, Sustainability, and Net Zero goals.
What does it take to be a Bioresources Maintenance Technician?
* NVQ Level 2 in mechanical engineering or equivalent, or completed relevant apprenticeship
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience inspecting and maintaining gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, valves, and centrifuge equipment
* Strong awareness of health and safety practices
* Knowledge of gas and steam systems (training provided)
* Flexible and resilient approach to work, including hours and training, adapting to business needs
