Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Social Worker to join our team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.

As a Social Worker in the Through Care team, you will be ambitious for our children in our care. We recognise that each child’s, lived experience is unique, each child’s needs are individual to them. We are therefore seeking Social Workers who can be adaptive and flexible in their approach, has the assessment skills to identify need and then plan and implement packages of care that is regularly reviewed.



We will provide a nurturing environment where your practice will flourish to contribute to positive outcomes for our children, young people and their families. You will work within small friendly teams, have a manageable caseload, and be provided with strong learning resources. You will also receive regular supervision, bespoke learning and development and excellent post-qualifying opportunities.



To be considered for interview, you will:


* Have a relevant social work qualification

* Be registered with Social Work England

* Have passed your ASYE year (please note we run a separate programme for newly qualified Social Workers through our ASYE Academy)

* Have compassion and an understanding of the needs of children and families

* Have knowledge of relevant legislation, guidance and practices

* Be an excellent communicator.
