Experienced Veterinary Care Assistant – 6-Month Fixed Term Contract
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Experienced Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Guildford Vets for Pets practice.
Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose-built to industry-leading standards, with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.
In this role, you will support the smooth running of the practice by assisting colleagues with a wide range of non-clinical duties and by helping us deliver the highest standard of patient care.
1. Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term
2. Hours: 24 to 30 hours per week

3. Previous Veterinary Care Assistant experience
4. A friendly, welcoming manner – you are the positive first impression for clients and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
5. Strong knowledge of practice services – you keep yourself fully up to date so you can confidently guide clients and answer queries.
6. Calm, attentive, and client-focused – you remain composed under pressure and always prioritise the needs of clients and their pets.
7. Enthusiastic and driven – you bring energy to the team, with a passion for outstanding service and a genuine love of animals.
8. Emotionally resilient – whether offering comfort to a client receiving difficult news or celebrating a puppy’s first visit, you can handle the full emotional spectrum of the role with professionalism and empathy.
9. A warm, engaging personality – your positive attitude helps create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for both colleagues and clients.
