Salary – Up to £34,000.00
Location – Lackenby Works, Middlesbrough, TS6 7RP
Pattern of Work – 36.5 hours, Monday - Friday
What you need to know about the role
Working as a Technologist at the Teesside Test House you will be responsible for a combination of the following tasks:
* Facilitate the routine activities within the area on a daily basis to optimise delivery of customer SLA's, prioritising accordingly.
* Recording and monitoring of workload / throughput using agreed KPIs
* Compiling test reports, organising and validating certification processes
* Reviewing internal and customer process routes to identify improvements and employ continuous improvement techniques to deliver enhancements
* Supporting developments and manufacturing trials as applicable
* Liaising with internal & external customers as required
* Participate in internal and external quality & safety audits
* Undertake quality and safety investigations as required
You will ensure your work is completed in compliance with all HS&E requirements in the area on a real time basis.
What we need to know about you
We are seeking a highly motivated, driven individual, preferably educated to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in a Materials Science or Metallurgical discipline.
Familiarity with Quality Assurance (QA) systems (ISO 9001 & ISO/IEC and Continuous Improvement (CI) techniques, along with strong communication skills, will be key to your success in this role.
