Location base: Huddersfield Geographical remit: National Basic Salary: Upto £48,000 Life Assurance Enhanced Pension Scheme 23 days holidays per annum (plus Bank Holidays) Company Sick Pay BP Fuel Card Cycle to Work Scheme Local Gym Discounts Employee Assistance Programme Annual Salary Review Training & Development Summary of the role: The IT Infrastructure Engineer role will ensure the smooth and continued operation of all IT infrastructure systems, remediating where required, and assist with the introduction of new service as deemed appropriate. The IT Infrastructure Engineer will support IT Operations Engineers, acting as an escalation for end-user issues across all Oxalis sites in all locations. The role holder will also work alongside I&O Manager and Technical Architect to ensure our IT landscape is right-sized, cost efficient and optimal at all times. Key duties: Use Microsoft Defender, and NinjaOne (RMM) tooling to evaluate and monitor the Cyber security landscape, and alongside our external SOC identify, remediate and re-assess vulnerabilities in our Server and Client infrastructure. Use other Microsoft365 products such as Intune for packaging and deploying of software, manage client infrastructure through Intune policies and EntraID for conditional access and identity management. Prepare OxalisAzure Infrastructure, alongside the wider team, for readiness of migrating our existing Data Centre infrastructure into Azure. Manage contracted third parties to ensure effective execution of service terms. Oversee the operational performance of IT systems, ensuring operation within expected parameters, and remediating issues andensure Infrastructure services are optimal for application workloads. Responsibilities: Remain up to date with emerging technologies, opportunities and threats. Have a high focus to deliver a high level of cyber security. Be innovative suggesting new approaches, technologies, architectures which could improve the technology maturity. Manage IT Suppliers, including performing due diligence against Oxalis IT standards. Remain cost-conscious when making technical decisions Skills and Experience: High degree of skill and experience with Azure Infrastructure, Defender and Intune. Technical proficiency in Infrastructure, Cloud and Cybersecurity Delivery of end user office software through software packaging methods Broad exposure to networks, infrastructure and hosted IT systems Ability to manage suppliers and the procurement of IT systems and make sure all contracts and licenses are correctly in place ADZN1_UKTJ
