Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit Class 2 Drivers on behalf of our client to join their team in Preston, this is a temp to perm position, you will go on full time after 13 weeks.
Hours Of Work
* Days 0430 0600 starts.
* Monday - Friday
Salary
* Weekdays - £15.74 ph. (inclusive of holiday pay)
* Move onto 34,000 Salaried when you go on full time.
The Role
* Delivery of flooring products on HGV 2 vehicles.
* Delivering to high street shops and domestic properties.
* Physical role, some drops are handball.
* Nights out may be required as some runs are to Scotland, this is uncommon but something to keep in mind.
Duties/Responsibilities
* Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.
* Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.
* To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.
* To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.
Essential Skills
* Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence.
* Must hold a valid drivers CPC card.
* Must hold a valid digi tacho
* Good communication skills.
* Good customer relations.
* Have a safe driving record.
* No more than 6 minor penalty points.
* No DRs, INs or DDs offence codes due to insurance stipulations.
