Overall responsibility to coordinate the mobilisation and management of security resources within the construction sites and offices centered around the Euston Approaches area. Reporting to SCS Senior Security Manager, the Security Manager will be responsible for liaising with the SCS construction team, defining site specific security operational requirements and developing security plans. Regular liaison with logistics, construction and health and safety stakeholders, 3rd parties and other main works civils packages to ensure sharing of best practice, innovation and continuous improvement.

Role Responsibility
* Assessment of security threats, developing a Site Specific Security Plan for each working area in accordance with the SCS project wide security plan and site access procedure.
* Contributing to implementation of the Health and Safety Management System (HSMS)
* Ensuring the implementation of the Security Plan and procedures.
* Briefing and guidance of the project team, subcontractors, suppliers and 3rd parties on the security plan and procedures.
* Drafting security guard assignment instructions, undertaking regular site assurance inspections.
* Liaising with local enforcing agencies and land-owners to discuss plans against threats and civil unrest.
* Working alongside stakeholders to safeguard common land areas and roads from disruptions and unduly inconveniences.
* Representing SCS at Town Hall Meetings and Community Committees to ensure that the joint venture’s interests and commitment for security and safety and are aligned with their needs.
* Investigating and reporting any breaches, losses or misappropriation of SCS assets to the correct authorities for their actions.
* Driving innovation and the upskilling of the project team in all security matters and continuous improvement.
* Support the wider Health Safety and Security team in roll out of specific Health and Safety briefings and behavioral change program ‘Love for Life’

Essential Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience as a Security Manager or similar role
* Experience in using security technology - CCTV, Access Control
* Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
* Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
* Experience of conducting investigations
* Good understanding of threat analysis and asset protection
* Competent and comfortable with public speaking and community liaison work
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
* Experience as a Security Manager on a similar size construction project
* Police/military experience
* Experience of supervising SIA security officers
* Diploma in Security Management (NVQ Level 5) or Security Management Foundation (IQ level 3) or other security related qualification
* Member of ‘The Security Institute’
* Police Clearance Certificate and clean driving license
