We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.
Responsibilities
* Operate flatbed lorries safely and efficiently for the delivery of goods.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
* Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while adhering to traffic regulations.
* Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and delivery times.
* Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.
Requirements
* Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for flatbed operation.
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
* Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
* Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining logs and records.
