Thornbrook Barn is a small and friendly 42 pitch touring site and 3 luxury glamping lodges, located within walking distance of Ingleton, North Yorkshire.
The site has all hard standing pitches for motorhomes and caravans along with a quality built shower/toilet block There are 3 cedar clad glamping lodges each with their own hot tub.
We own and live on the site and also have a small sheep farm that surrounds us. We work here every day and are passionate about our business therefore we are always `hands on.
The site is very popular because of its location, its layout and design and is well maintained with clean facilities. Our reviews are excellent with many repeat guests. We are looking to recruit an individual for cleaning and maintaining of the facility block along with assisting in turnaround of the lodges.
We are looking for a person who;
• is hardworking, committed and shows initiative with an attention to detail.
• is friendly, happy, have excellent communication skills and enjoy interacting with our guests.
• Loves the outdoors
Site experience may be an advantage but not essential
Duties and hours will include:
• Cleaning of the shower/toilet facilities and pot wash along with regular maintenance e.g. cleaning shower traps, fans, waste removal etc
• Providing local information to guests who see you around the site cleaning.
• Assisting with hedge cutting twice during the season (extra hours on an afternoon for a few days at a time)
• Assisting with turn around (cleaning and making up beds) in the lodges.
The work will be carried out over a 5-day period, and you will always have a guaranteed 2 consecutive days off together each week (Tuesday & Wednesday). We are happy to arrange with notice to swap for different days occasionally. The hours of works are usually 2 hrs per day 11am - 1pm for cleaning of the facility block (a minimum of 10hrs per week) with an extra hour per day from 10am on multiple lodge changeover days.
The position is with an immediate start until the 3rd November 2025.
A pitch will be provided for your motorhome/caravan (your unit will need to be less than 12 years old and clean & tidy please) along with 10kwh of electric per day included, site wide WiFi and use of a washer/dryer.
You will have an excellent work-life balance here so that you are able to experience what this lovely are has to offer. A local bus service operates from the close to the site entrance for service to Kirkby Lonsdale and Settle/Skipton. You will need to be fit and active - as you will not be based in the office but hands on!
