Job Description Functional Description: The Facilities team plays a crucial role in ensuring our buildings operate safely, efficiently, and smoothly. Within this team, they are managing maintenance schedules, coordinating contractors, and overseeing compliance with health, safety, and building regulations. From conducting regular safety inspections to maintaining equipment and handling supply needs, the team ensures an optimal working environment for all employees. Their expertise in facility maintenance and proactive approach to problem-solving help create a safe, functional, and well-managed workplace. Facilities Industrial Placement Join us in shaping the future of our workplace environments. A Facilities Placement plays a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our buildings. Working closely with the Head of Facilities Delivery, this role offers hands-on experience in managing day-to-day facilities activities, coordinating contractors, and ensuring that maintenance tasks are carried out to a high standard. We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to help maintain an optimal working environment across our sites. In this role, you’ll assist with regular safety and security inspections, support the upkeep of building systems and equipment, and help ensure that all mandatory checks and compliance requirements are scheduled and completed on time. Collaborate across departments you’ll work closely with Health & Safety, contractors, and internal teams to ensure compliance and operational excellence. Make Real Impact Manage building and equipment maintenance schedules to keep everything running smoothly. Maintain health and safety compliance records and ensure mandatory inspections are completed. Document processes and keep accurate maintenance records to support audits and reporting. Assist in project planning and execution, including raising purchase requisitions. Coordinate equipment and supply needs — from furniture and kitchen appliances to in-house maintenance stock. Ensure compliance with building regulations and work closely with the Health & Safety team to uphold standards.
