Our client is building a new biomedical research facility within one of the most reputable Universities in the region.
This initiative, launched within the past year, building a state-of-the-art laboratory animal research facility focused on advancing work in cancer biology, microbiology, and translational science.
This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage and shape the scientific and operational foundations of a new research platform.
This is a lab-based role (not advisory) focused on:
* Rodent models
* Micro-surgery & in vivo work
* Supporting research in cancer biology & microbiology

You will play a key part in:
* Establishing and optimizing animal research practices and protocols
* Supporting and collaborating with researchers on study design and execution
* Performing and overseeing rodent procedures, including anesthesia, micro-surgery, and post-operative care
* Contributing to the development of a high-quality, ethical, and compliant research environment
* Supporting facility readiness aligned with international standards such as AAALAC International and FELASA
Key requirements:
We are looking for individuals who bring a strong combination of academic research exposure and hands-on laboratory capability — someone who has been actively involved in in vivo studies (rodent models) and is comfortable operating at the intersection of science, animal welfare, and experimental execution:
* Able and willing to relocate to the UAE
* PhD completed or near completion (or equivalent research track in veterinary/life sciences)
* Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in laboratory animal research
* Strong experience working with rodent models
* Proven capability in micro-surgical techniques and in vivo procedures
* Familiarity with experimental design and execution in a research setting
* Exposure to cancer biology, microbiology, or related biomedical fields
* Publications or contribution to scientific research is highly desirable
