Our Impact
The Inventory Management Engineering team aims to reduce the firm’s financing costs and maximize P&L through developing inventory management platforms. These platforms, primarily written in Java, leverage Kafka for event sequencing and operational research algorithms for optimization, managing billions of dollars’ worth of cash and securities inventory. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the development of real-time inventory tracking and automatic optimization to enhance the firm’s efficiency.
Responsibilities include:
Participate in developing our inventory management platforms
Lead design and development, collaborating with traders and operations
Create scalable systems, develop web applications and analytics
Analyze requirements, develop, deploy, and support applications and services
Work within a global team of engineers
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
At least 3 years of professional experience
Experience leading requirements gathering, design, and implementation of projects
Strong experience in Java, Python, C++, or similar
Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with high-performance server-side programming
Experience with messaging technologies like Apache Kafka
Familiarity with Spring/Boot ecosystem
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB), knowledge of temporal databases is a plus
Hands-on experience with enterprise application development and SDLC
Knowledge of mathematical optimization
