The Role You will lead, support, and develop the sales team responsible for business skills solutions learner programme starts, while maintaining your own portfolio of sales activity. You will balance hands-on sales delivery with leadership responsibilities to drive performance, ensure lead conversion, and contribute to strategic growth. This role is critical in ensuring that both individual and team targets are met, that learners and employers are supported effectively, and that the business maintains high standards of compliance and customer service across its apprenticeship provision. Whilst we can’t promise that every day will be the same, your key responsibilities are likely to be: - Lead, coach, and motivate the business skills solutions sales team to meet individual and team targets. - Set daily, weekly, and monthly performance objectives and ensure accountability. - Monitor KPIs, pipeline health, and conversion rates; intervene proactively where needed. - Provide regular 1:1s, performance reviews and sales coaching. - Collaborate with colleagues from marketing, curriculum, and operations to optimise the learner journey. - Manage your own pipeline of leads from both inbound and outbound sources. - Conduct employer consultations and learner assessments to ensure ‘Right Lerner, Right Programme’ is achieved. - Meet or exceed personal sales targets. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with employer partners to support long-term growth and repeat business. - Identify and capture trends in the market and contribute to the development of new campaigns and outreach strategies. - Ensure the CRM system is used effectively and data is accurately maintained by the whole team. - Ensure all sales activities comply with Department for Education funding rules and internal quality standards. - Handle any complaints or escalations professionally and in line with organisational policy.
