Full-time – core working hours are 8-5; however, flexibility is required as work may involve evening, nights, and weekends as needed.

Our client, a specialist in electrical testing services, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Tester to join their team. The role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to identify and report potential hazards and compliance issues.
Their Field Test & Inspection team is central to their operations. They have created a commission structure that rewards hard work, allowing you to benefit from your efforts. After completing your daily minimum circuits, you will earn a premium for each additional circuit. With plenty of work available, this could be an ideal opportunity for those looking to maximize earnings. Last year, the average bonus was £12k annually, with higher earners earning even more.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in commercial and industrial environments.
2. Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment.
3. Identify and document defects, non-compliances, and potential safety hazards.
4. Provide clear reports detailing the condition of electrical installations, including recommendations for remedial actions.
5. Ensure all inspections comply with relevant standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and best practices.
7. Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice.
8. Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment as required.
9. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols at all times.
10. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance technical skills.
Key Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical inspection or a related field.
2. City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent) qualification in Inspection and Testing.
3. NVQ Level 3.
4. 18th Edition.
5. In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards.
6. Strong understanding of electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Proficiency with electrical testing equipment and reporting software.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Attention to detail and accuracy.
11. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
12. Valid UK driving license.
