We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Sourcing Manager to lead complex, high-value sourcing activity across diverse spend categories. This is a strategic role responsible for delivering significant commercial and contractual value across multi-million-pound opportunities within a highly regulated environment.
You will work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to shape and deliver sourcing strategies that drive measurable savings, innovation, and long-term value.
The Role
As a Senior Sourcing Manager, you will:
* Lead end-to-end sourcing activity from business requirement through to contract signature for multi-million-pound, medium-risk opportunities.
* Implement approved category strategies and deliver against an ambitious savings pipeline.
* Apply structured sourcing frameworks within regulated procurement environments, ensuring full compliance with governance, legislative, and risk requirements.
* Act as a lead negotiator on complex commercial arrangements, securing savings and additional value beyond agreed targets.
* Develop innovative sourcing solutions and commercial models to address complex business challenges.
* Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to maximise group-wide commercial value through effective demand management and influencing strategies.
* Ensure seamless transition from sourcing execution into supplier management to optimise contractual and relationship value.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, demand planning, and customer satisfaction measurement to enhance the overall procurement experience.
* Strengthen external market sourcing practices, including total cost of ownership analysis and commercial modelling, to support best-in-class capability development.
About You
You will be a strategic procurement professional with:
* Degree-level education in Business, Economics, or equivalent professional experience.
* Significant sourcing experience with a demonstrable track record of delivering substantial savings across complex spend categories.
* Strong commercial acumen, including knowledge of contract law and financial management.
* Proven expertise in negotiation and dispute resolution at senior stakeholder level.
* Experience operating within regulated procurement environments.
* Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
* A politically astute approach with advanced direct and indirect influencing capability.
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex sourcing challenges and develop innovative commercial solutions.
* A completer-finisher mindset with strong delivery focus.
* Relevant professional accreditation (eg CIPS) or equivalent.
