My clients are a very well established and highly regarded main contractor operating from their offices in Bristol. They work on projects with values up to £10m in value covering new build, refurbishment, general construction, health care, education, commercial, heritage and conservation sectors. Projects are typically within a 40-mile radius of Bristol.
Due to their continued tendering success with both new and existing clients they are looking to recruit a Junior Estimator to join their busy and vibrant team on a permanent basis.
The Candidate
Applications are welcome from candidates with previous experience of estimating within the construction industry or from those with a relevant construction qualification looking for a career move into estimating.
Communication, attention to detail and working collaboratively are crucial in this role. You will have a positive attitude and confident approach, being able to communicate with people at all levels. The working environment is second to none. Experience of using estimating software packages, ideally Conquest will be an advantage.

The Role
As an Assistant / Junior Estimator you will generally be based in the Bristol office and report in to the Estimating Manager, who will provide additional on the job training and mentoring. Work will include formulating bid / tender prices from first principles along with sending out sub-contract enquiries and analysing received quotes and helping to put together final submissions on a variety of exciting projects across many different sectors up to the value of £10m in and around the Bristol area. Projects may be traditional, D+B, 2 stage or framework projects and either new-build or refurbishment. Geographically projects will generally be within 40-50 miles of Bristol.
