Our stunning care home, The Grand Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in West Bridgford, Nottingham. The home is registered to provide care to 82 residents with various needs, including residential, nursing, and dementia care. The Grand is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents. Located conveniently, we have a strong local reputation. New Care has had zero agency usage for over 3 years, employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents who trust them. All staff are paid at or above the national living wage.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents according to Care Plans and contribute to the smooth running of the Care Home. We offer full-time contracts with an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 19:45-08:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Model best practices when delivering care.
4. Assist residents with their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in line with care plans.
5. Contribute to daily resident records.
6. Work effectively within a team and undertake delegated tasks efficiently.
7. Promote and safeguard the welfare of adults under your responsibility or contact.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Experience as a Care Assistant in a care environment is preferable.
2. Care certificate or equivalent, or willingness to achieve this within 12 months.
3. Knowledge of good care practices related to older people.
4. Understanding of the 6 principles of care and their application in care delivery.
5. Ability to work well in a team.
6. Self-motivated and confident.
