Assistant Manager & Events Coordinator (Part-Time)
Stay Lagom Ballycastle, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom
Lagom is growing — and we’re looking for someone to grow with us.
From boutique stays to unforgettable gatherings, Lagom has built a reputation for design‑led hospitality on the Causeway Coast. Now, we’re expanding further into events, elopements, and curated experiences — and we’re looking for a hands‑on, creative, and driven individual to help us shape what’s next.
📍 Ballycastle, Northern Ireland (Hybrid)
🕓 Variable Hours Based on Bookings & Events
This is a flexible, hands‑on role suited to someone who’s organised, people‑focused, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. You’ll support and coordinate everything from elopements and retreats to private group stays and styled shoots.
You can work from home most of the time or use Lagom as your office, but you’ll be expected to be on‑site in Ballycastle when events or guests require it. The schedule is varied, depending on bookings and seasonal demand.
Key Responsibilities
* Communicate with guests in the lead‑up to events or group bookings
* Be present on‑site for viewings, event setup, support, or coordination when required
* Liaise with external suppliers, stylists, caterers, and local partners
* Assist with setup and styling of venues and outdoor spaces
* Handle general admin or operational support for Lagom’s events and hospitality side
* Collaborate on new offerings, packages, or improvements to the guest experience
* Support marketing by contributing ideas, helping with content creation, and coordinating event‑related promotions
* Play an active role in growing the events side of the business, creatively and commercially

* Organised, reliable, and able to work without micromanagement
* Clear communicator with a calm, practical approach to problem‑solving
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in events, hospitality, or guest services
* Creative eye for styling or event layout

Who We Are
We’re a small, independent team doing ambitious work in a down‑to‑earth way. Based on the North Coast of Ireland, we focus on design‑led stays, hospitality, and events that feel thoughtful and human.
We work hard, expect high standards from ourselves and each other, and keep things low on drama. No egos, no micromanaging – just a group of people who take pride in what we do. Everyone steps in when needed, and we trust each other to get on with it.
We’re flexible on hours and location, as long as the work gets done and the guests are looked after.
This is a Role to Shape
This isn’t a box‑ticking job. You’ll have room to manage your own time, set your own priorities, and figure out what works best. You’ll also have the opportunity to directly influence how Lagom grows – especially on the events and marketing side.
If you’re proactive, organised and like to run with things, you’ll be given the space (and responsibility) to do exactly that.
How to Apply
Send a short note introducing yourself and why this role caught your eye. We’d also love to hear your take on where you see potential for Lagom to grow and how you’d take it there. A CV is also helpful, but we’re more interested in who you are and how you work than a perfect resume.
