Your new schoolHays are offering a long-term Music/Drama teaching role at a large Secondary School based in Cardiff with over 1000 pupils. The school offers a wide range of opportunities for its pupils and has great facilities to accommodate this. The leadership team have a strong vision for the school, which creates a clear direction for the school to progress and nurture the pupils.Your new roleYou will work as a part of a successful department teaching classes on a full-time basis for KS3 and KS4. You will have full teaching responsibilities, including lesson planning, assessing work, and marking. This will be a hybrid timetable made up of an even split of Music and Drama. It is confirmed until the end of the academic year with a potential to be extended into next year pending a successful review. What you'll need to succeedYou will be a qualified teacher holding a valid Music or Drama PGCE with previous experience teaching Music/Drama in a Secondary school or College. You will have a passion for learning and have a strong track record of helping pupils to achieve results. You will also possess strong behaviour and classroom management skills. You share a commitment to safeguarding and hold a DBS check or be willing to get one.
