This role is for a Personal Assistant Workforce Lead to develop Calderdale's Direct Payments system that empowers individuals with care and support needs to live independently, work, study and stay connected to their community.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead activity to promote and grow Calderdale's Personal Assistant workforce through outreach, partnerships, and community engagement.
* Provide advice and practical support to people receiving Direct Payments to recruit and retain Personal Assistants safely and confidently.
* Develop and coordinate training, development opportunities and peer support for Personal Assistants and Direct Payment employers.
* Work with social work teams, brokerage and partners to address recruitment barriers and strengthen the sustainability of the local PA workforce.
Qualifications and Experience
We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in recruitment, workforce development, community engagement, or social care, who can work independently, develop new initiatives, and communicate clearly, sensitively, and with empathy.
The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to help people with care and support needs live independently and shape the support that works for them.
