<div><h3>Regional Counsellor</h3><p>Salary: £25,200–£28,000</p><p>Location: Covering Swansea, Neath & Port Talbot</p><p>Contract: Full-time, Permanent</p><p>Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Conduct one-to-one or group counselling sessions to support clients in identifying individual needs and barriers to learning and progression.</li><li>Adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy and apply the BACP good practice principles.</li><li>Advise learners on the benefits of further education, well‑being and personal development.</li><li>Establish a relationship of trust and respect through active listening and empathy.</li><li>Facilitate workshops and organising talks with external partners to promote further education and well‑being.</li><li>Develop and maintain external working partnerships to share best practice, signpost clients and arrange referrals or workshops.</li><li>Record and maintain confidential records, meetings and other documents in compliance with data protection and confidentiality arrangements.</li><li>Act as the designated Safeguarding Officer and carry out all related responsibilities and duties.</li><li>Engage in continuous professional development to maintain up‑to‑date practice and competence.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Essential
<ul><li>Recognised diploma or degree in Counselling.</li><li>Experience working with young people and adults in a counselling setting.</li><li>Member of the BACP or equivalent professional body.</li><li>Capability to work using an integrated approach to counselling.</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of the BACP or BABCP Code of Ethics.</li><li>Knowledge of CORE or equivalent outcome measures.</li><li>Full driving licence.</li></ul></li><li>Desirable
