Location: Warrington | Full-time: 4 on 4 off rolling night shift pattern
Salary: £34,900 – £37,000
The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Night Transport Supervisor to oversee transport operations across multiple sites during night shifts. Working on a 4 on 4 off rota, you will be responsible for live planning, real-time driver support, and maintaining service levels overnight. You will manage a night transport coordinator and a team of drivers, ensuring accuracy in system updates, compliance, and timely deliveries.

Plan transport operations for the upcoming 48 hours across multiple operational sites, ensuring resources are effectively allocated.
Supervise and support the Transport Coordinator and a team of HGV drivers.
Oversee driver activities including start times, job allocation, and end-of-shift debriefs.
Manage driver annual leave schedules.
Conduct return-to-work interviews and welfare meetings.
Handle disciplinary matters and assist in investigations when required.
Track vehicle progress throughout the night using telematics/GPS.
Proactively update customers on any delays or delivery issues.
Ensure the Transport Management System (TMS) is updated in real time with accurate job information.
Maintain compliance with transport legislation and company policies.
Respond quickly to operational issues, delays, or disruptions.
Make informed decisions to ensure service continuity.About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
Confidence with IT systems, including Outlook and Excel.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a transport or logistics environment.
Understanding of UK/EU driving hours laws and restrictions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong multi-site planning and coordination skills.
