Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Analysis team within TP ICAP’s Technology Change Management function, playing a key role in shaping and delivering technology solutions that support our global business.
As a Business Analyst, you’ll partner closely with business stakeholders, Solution Architects, and Development teams to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements. You’ll lead workshops, define processes, and help design innovative solutions that underpin TP ICAP’s strategic objectives across trading, post-trade, and operational systems.
This role offers the chance to work on diverse and high-impact technology change initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the analysis of stakeholder objectives and translate them into clear, structured business and functional requirements for Technology projects.
2. Conduct and facilitate requirements-gathering and process-definition workshops, ensuring alignment between business and technology teams.
3. Collaborate with Solution Architects and Development teams to shape technology solutions that are scalable, efficient, and business-aligned.
4. Contribute to the definition of business architecture and support the design of end-to-end business solutions.
5. Support the development of test plans, participate in testing, and help ensure solutions meet agreed requirements and quality standards.
6. Track, monitor, and report on issues, risks, and dependencies related to requirements and analysis activities.
7. Maintain strong communication with Project Managers, ensuring transparency around progress, risks, and delivery status.
8. Play an active role in executing and delivering strategic technology roadmaps that support TP ICAP’s long-term business goals.
9. Ensure consistent levels of service delivery, supporting both current business operations and future growth needs.
10. Undertake ad-hoc analysis and project tasks as required.
Experience and Competencies
Essential
11. Proven experience operating as a Business Analyst within Financial Services Technology, ideally in a trading or capital markets environment.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues and identify effective solutions.
13. Exceptional documentation and communication skills — able to produce clear, concise, and compelling written materials.
14. Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing competing deadlines and priorities.
15. Confident leading discussions and workshops with diverse stakeholders, from business users to senior management.
16. Highly organised, self-motivated, and proactive — able to take ownership of deliverables and drive progress independently.
17. Excellent attention to detail with a results-oriented mindset and personal accountability.
18. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across global teams.
19. Flexible, adaptable, and resilient in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Desired
20. Experience working within an Agile environment or familiarity with Agile methodologies.
21. Understanding of the front-to-back trade lifecycle and associated processes within capital markets.
22. Exposure to large-scale technology transformation or integration projects within Financial Services.
