We are looking to recruit a full‑time Band 5 Community Staff Nurse for our District Nursing Team at the Chorlton Whalley Range and Fallowfield Integrated team. The role requires passion for high quality care and a commitment to making a difference.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Working closely with the multi‑disciplinary team, the nurse will contribute to the clinical governance process and act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre‑registration students. The post holder will also take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.

Qualifications
* First‑level registration – Registered Nurse (Degree or Diploma)
* Teaching Qualification – Degree level 6 study Diploma
Knowledge
* Knowledge of current nursing issues
* Knowledge of clinical governance
* IT/ Word processing
Training and Experience
* Experience of working independently and as part of a team
* Ability to supervise and support junior staff
* Awareness of clinical audit
* Experience in community nursing
Skills and Abilities
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must hold a driving licence and have access to a car
* Ability to travel around the trust and community with specialist equipment, including remote locations
