Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner – Permanent Role

Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner – Key Responsibilities
As a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP), your responsibilities will include:
Accepting and triaging referrals in line with service protocols
Conducting person-centred assessments, including risk assessments
Delivering low-intensity psychological interventions such as:
Guided self-help and psychoeducational sessions
CBT-informed self-management approaches
Group-based interventions
Supporting individuals to self-manage their mental health
Recording and monitoring clinical outcomes using validated measures
Maintaining accurate clinical records on electronic systems
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure continuous, holistic care
Contributing to performance monitoring and service data collectionCandidate Requirements for the Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner Role
Qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) with accreditation from the BPS or BABCP
Completion of an accredited IAPT Low Intensity National Programme
Strong knowledge of assessment and stepped-care models
Post-qualification experience delivering Step 2 IAPT interventions
Excellent communication and IT skills
Ability to work effectively with supervision and reflect on practice
(Desirable) Experience working in prison or criminal justice settings
