Senior Electrical Engineer (V05966) — Preston. PAYE £44 per hour / Umbrella £59.33 (Inside IR35). BAE Systems – Shared Services (Real Estate & Infrastructure).
The Opportunity
We're supporting BAE Systems to find an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Real Estate & Infrastructure (RE&I) team within Shared Services. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting critical infrastructure and facilities across a complex, highly regulated engineering environment. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant, and operating effectively, while contributing to the successful delivery of estate and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide electrical engineering support across facilities and infrastructure projects
* Support the design, installation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of electrical systems
* Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards and safety regulations
* Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and key stakeholders
* Contribute to project delivery, design reviews, and engineering assurance activities
* Drive improvements in processes and operational efficiency
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in electrical engineering, ideally within infrastructure, facilities, or industrial environments
* Strong understanding of electrical standards, compliance, and safety requirements
* Experience working in regulated or complex engineering environments
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
* Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)
* Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) is advantageous
