Job Description
* Report on progress against the plan, recommend changes based on an ongoing assessment of HSE performance and risk management.
* HSE representative in client and site daily and weekly project management meetings as needed
* To ensure that every person in the company follows company safety policies required under the law.
* Conduct risk assessments and list all the possible ways to reduce likelihood and severity.
* Regularly inspect the work areas to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed.
* Ensure that the company supports safe working practices and complies with the law.
* Support the development of H&S strategies and plans.
* Record and review all workplace accidents and incidents for reporting and statistical purposes.
* Keep up to date with Health, safety and environmental legislation that will affect the company.
* Assist with creating management reports, including bulletins, newsletters, and toolbox talks.
* Ensure all equipment is operated safely.
* Ensure disposal of all waste and hazardous substances are carried out in line with safely and environmental legislation .
* Support the management team to maintain and improve ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 accreditation.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Management eg NEBOSH General Certificate [Essential]
* ISO 450001:2018 and ISO 45001:2018 internal auditor experience [Desirable]
* Working knowledge of Environmental legislation and practices [Desirable]
Key Technical Skills:
* Experience in HSE support of large projects, particularly oil and gas and marine projects.
* Strong interpersonal & communication skills (including presentation skills).
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Capable of working with processes & procedures
* Clear & concise communicator
* Good understanding of customers & their requirements.
* Good planning & organisational skills.
Key Interpersonal/Behavioural Skills:
* Ability to work effectively across multiple boundaries
* Able to build effective & productive customer relationships.
