Responsibilities
* Guide and mentor a team of character artists to create compelling and lifelike characters that align with the game's vision.
* Establish and maintain efficient workflows for character modeling, texturing, and integration, ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.
* Implement rigorous quality checks to uphold the highest artistic standards and consistency in character assets.
* Work closely with other departments, such as animation and design, to ensure character assets meet technical requirements and enhance gameplay.
* Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve character art processes and address artistic challenges effectively.
Skills & Qualifications
* Proven track record in character art within the gaming industry, with a strong portfolio showcasing realistic character models.
* Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring art teams, fostering a collaborative and creative environment.
* Expertise in industry-standard software for 3D modeling, sculpting, and texturing, along with a solid understanding of game engines in particular Unreal and asset integration.
* Strong grasp of anatomy, form, and detail, with the ability to translate conceptual ideas into high-quality character models.
* Excellent ability to articulate artistic vision and provide constructive feedback, ensuring alignment across teams.
