These placements are designed for students who have recently completed a relevant degree or those undertaking a required “year in industry” as part of their course — ready to turn their knowledge into real impact while growing alongside us. This placement is subject to an enhanced DBS check (with Children’s Barred list) Role: Operations Internship Contract duration: 10-11 months Type: Internship Hours: 40 hours per week including weekends Department: Operations Location: SToK Cae Ras, Mold Road, Wrexham, LL11 2AH The role will be to support the team to maintain high standards of regulation and administration for the EFL and Support the Head of Operations. What you’ll be doing Support the administration and coordination of the Match Day Operations as required. Support the Ops team in the pre and post-match operational duties, including Safety, Logistics briefings. Support the review and investigation of operational and football regulatory issues. Provide general support to Football Operations activities, projects and initiatives. Be aware of the Green Guide in relation to match day safety. Support the preparation and delivery of Football Operations events and meetings. Support with creating reports and presentations. Assist with ensuring a safe and secure site, including being a keyholder. Provide support for the review and development of Football Operations documents, including competition guidance, updating manuals and handbooks. Work alongside internal departments on cross-team projects and other initiatives as required. Support working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders as required. Execute additional tasks as required to meet changing priorities of an evolving business. Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and well-being can be maintained. What are we looking for? Excellent written and verbal skills. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects. Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive attitude. The ability to prioritise a heavy workload and work to tight deadlines. The ability to handle confidential information and exercise discretion. Flexible approach to working hours. Ability to review, evaluate and streamline existing services and procedures. Beneficial to have: Interest and knowledge of the sports industry in general and the football industry in particular. Experience of supporting and coordinating activations and sports events. Degree in Football Business or similar.
