IT Systems Developer - Business Applications

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, configure, and update IT systems that support both daily operations and business transformation projects.
2. Work closely with Business Analysts, Solution Designers, and Architects to ensure all developments align with overall business and IT strategies.
3. Create functional specifications, code and configure solutions, conduct unit testing, and produce clear technical documentation.
4. Collaborate to deliver systems that support business and operational plans.
5. Engage proactively with colleagues to gather and analyse business requirements and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
Essential Skills & Experience:
6. Demonstrated experience in systems development using one or more languages: SQL, .NET, Java, C#, Python, HTML, XML, C++, PHP, etc.
7. Broad understanding of technology solutions such as ERP, CRM, ESB, Azure, Cloud, AI, IoT, and RPA.
8. Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, DevOps, etc.) and tools like Azure DevOps or Jira.
9. Experience in the full software development lifecycle: requirements gathering, system design, coding, unit testing, and deployment.
10. Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE, Power Platform, SQL Server (including SSIS/SSRS), and Azure is advantageous.
11. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
12. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
13. A genuine customer-focused mindset and willingness to learn new technologies and platforms.
Desirable Qualifications:
14. Degree in IT or STEM discipline (or equivalent experience).
15. Certifications or demonstrable experience in Microsoft D365 CRM, Azure Integration Services, NEC Housing/Asset, or Oracle Fusion Cloud.
