An exciting opportunity to join our team of vascular clinical nurse specialists (CNS) and advanced clinical practitioners (ACP).
The role of Vascular ACP involves playing a key part in the wider vascular service. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic ACP who can work with multiple professional teams, to ensure the patient's journey throughout the outpatient experience is optimised.
Alongside proven clinical abilities, the post holder will need excellent communication skills and be able to competently and accurately action recommendations for patients from wider teams. The successful applicant will work within a team of supportive colleges from varying professional backgrounds at multiple sites across the county. Please note that driving to various clinic locations is essential for this role.
The post holder will act as a patient advocate to ensure that patient concerns and needs are heard and acted upon.

Successful applicants must provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
The Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) is required to be an experienced registered healthcare professional working at an advanced level in clinical practice, who will exercise autonomy and decision making in a context of complexity, uncertainty and varying levels of risk, holding accountability for decisions made. The ACP will be able to manage clinical care in partnership with individuals, families and carers responding to differences in cultures, demographics and populations. Utilising critical analysis and synthesis in dealing with complex problems across a range of settings, enabling innovative solutions to enhance people’s experience and improve outcomes.
The ACP role is underpinned by master’s level study and encompasses the four pillars of clinical practice, leadership, management, education and research, with demonstration of core capabilities and specialty specific clinical competence. The ACP will be an independent prescriber, having completed a recognised independent prescribing qualification, including annotation with their professional regulatory body and works within their scope of practice and relevant legislative authority.
