An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Forklift Operator to join our busy and fast growing team. We are a dynamic and growing company in the Flue Liner and Stoves Industry, committed to providing high quality products and services.
Mi Flues Ltd are currently recruiting for a Counterbalance (and Pivot Steer) Forklift Operative to join our 'Goods in' team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled forklift operator to become a valued part of a busy production environment.
Working hours are hrs.
We are looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years experience.
Areas of Responsibility (but not limited to);
* Safely operate Pivot and Counterbalance forklifts to load, unload, move, and stack goods.
* Receive and check incoming deliveries against paperwork, reporting any discrepancies.
* Transport and store materials in correct warehouse locations.
* Conduct daily pre-use inspections of forklifts, reporting any defects or safety concerns.
* Ensure goods are stored correctly to prevent damage and maintain warehouse organisation.
* Ensure the warehouse remains organised and compliant with health & safety standards.
* Follow health & safety procedures, including safe lifting practices and site traffic rules.
* Assist with general warehouse duties (e.g. manual handling, stock checks, housekeeping).
* Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other departments.
* Support continuous improvement by following standard operating procedures and suggesting efficiency improvements where appropriate.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years' experience operating forklifts (Pivot and Counterbalance).
* Valid forklift licences/certifications for Pivot and Counterbalance trucks.
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
* Good understanding of health & safety regulations and safe handling practices.
* Ability to complete routine equipment checks and maintenance reports.
* Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting when required.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time hours.
Skills
* Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate stock handling.
* Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
* Good spatial awareness and hand–eye coordination when operating forklifts.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced or high-pressure environment.
* Proactive approach to problem-solving and identifying safety risks.
Working Conditions
The Production line operative will work in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to loud noises, dust, and other hazards. Also working in a variety of temperatures.
