Senior Engineering Manager Cardiff Leading Manufacturing Business
A leading manufacturing organisation based in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to join their leadership team during an exciting period of sustained growth. The site is currently undergoing a significant expansion phase, and this role will play a critical part in shaping and driving engineering performance through this next chapter.
This is a high-impact leadership position with a strong focus on OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and site reliability, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across operations.
The Role:
* Lead and develop a team of approximately 15 maintenance technicians
* Drive improvements in OEE, reliability, and asset performance
* Implement and enhance preventative and predictive maintenance strategies
* Work cross-functionally with production and operational teams to maximise uptime and efficiency
* Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety
* Play a key role in supporting site growth, investment, and operational scaling
About You:
* Proven experience in a senior engineering or maintenance leadership role within manufacturing
* Strong track record of delivering improvements in OEE and equipment reliability
* A modern, people-focused leader with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop teams
* Skilled in building high-performing teams and driving engagement
* Strong strategic thinking with a hands-on, solutions-driven approach
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
