Yard Operative – Night Shift
Tranent | Full-time | Permanent
Hours: 8:45pm – 7:00am (4 nights per week)
Overtime available | Night shift uplift included
If you like sitting still in a warm office, this isn’t for you.
But if you enjoy being outdoors, staying active, and keeping production moving whatever the weather — you’ll fit right in at Had Fab.
You’ll be working hands-on with heavy steel, loading and unloading, bundling, tagging, and moving materials across the yard. It’s cold, it’s physical, and you’ll easily rack up 20,000–30,000 steps a shift — but you’ll end every night knowing you’ve earned it.
What You’ll Do
• Load and unload steel using cranes, forklifts, and manual handling gear
• Pick, stage, and bundle material to job packs and dispatch notes
• Keep the yard safe, tidy, and running smoothly
• Work closely with crane operators, drivers, and production teams
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE
What You’ll Need
• Must be over 18 and eligible to work in the UK
• Comfortable working outdoors xsngvjr in all weather
• Reliable, safety-minded, and ready to learn
• Yard, steel, or construction experience helpful (not essential)
• Crane or forklift tickets are a plus - again all training provided
