Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Night Auditor to join our team in London, United Kingdom. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth overnight operations and maintaining exceptional guest satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment and possess strong analytical and organizational skills.
1. Perform end-of-day accounting procedures, including balancing daily transactions and preparing overnight reports
2. Verify and reconcile guest accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
3. Provide exceptional customer service during check-ins, check-outs, and throughout the night shift
4. Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and problem-solving to ensure a positive experience
5. Maintain a safe and secure environment for both guests and employees
6. Generate and distribute various financial and operational reports
7. Collaborate with other departments to address any guest-related issues or concerns
8. Monitor and update room inventory and availability
9. Handle credit card transactions, and other forms of payment accurately
10. Perform additional front desk duties as needed during the night shift
11. Open Breakfast buffet for next morning
Qualifications
12. Proven experience as a Night Auditor or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
14. Excellent customer service orientation with a guest-focused approach
15. Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., OPERA Cloud) and Microsoft Excel
16. Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
17. Basic accounting knowledge and ability to handle financial transactions accurately
18. Flexibility to work overnight shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment
19. Ability to work independently and make decisions in the absence of daytime management
20. Strong time management and organizational skills
21. High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in hospitality or related field preferred
22. Knowledge of hotel operations and front desk procedures
